Jiufen(九份) part 2
Taken in Jan09 in Jiufen, Taipei Country
Along this long narrow road of Jiufen on the top of the mountain, Jiufen is popular for its old stalls and traditional Chinese Tea House. Although they may be priced higher than other tea houses in Taipei, the trip to Jiufen for evening tea is definitely worth it. Imagine drinking tea with the green mountains and sunset as your backdrop with friendly waitresses and the purest tea leafs… that was exactly what we did.
Jiufen was also one the the most popular settings for Korean highest rating drama- On Air.
From Taipei to Jiufen:
Take a 45 mins train ride from Taipei station to Ruifang and took the keelung bus up to Jiufen.
A very interesting stall along Jiufen street. She actually made these ‘recorder-like’ instruments herself and they come with all sorts of designs (cars, musical instruments, animals…). We were attracted to her stall by the pop music that she was playing. Very friendly person who sells at a reasonable price for a touristy place
Jiufen at night =)
Say goodbye beautiful village!
I came across a blogger who was writing about Jiufen and her information for Jiufen was so far… the best I can find… check it out!
