This has been my desktop picture for the whole year. Simply love the view of Langkawi from the plane.  Langkawi, Malaysia is a a huge island surrounded by 90+ small islands. Really, I cant understand why people wanna travel out of Malaysia for a nice day in a beach when they have the best in the country.

For my friend’s birthday, we had lunch in The Point Restaurant in Albert Park Lake. Located in the park itself, The Point has a fantastic view overlooking the whole albert park lake.  Designed as a glasshouse with white furniture, the restaurant is pure simple, modern yet elegant. If you have a chance to visit Melbourne, be sure to enjoy a nice meal in the restaurant. This is the most peaceful part of the city.

ps: The Apple souffle makes me fall in love with souffle. I’m not a very good food critics. With my insensitive taste bud, I only know how to differentiate between nice or NOT nice. So really, dont ask me the details.. all I know is I fully enjoyed the desserts and they tasted really good!!! (My friends ordered the souffle and I ordered tiramisu…hmmm… although the tiramisu is great, i have to say the souffle is still the best)

Every September, Melbourne will hold its annual Royal Melbourne show for about 10 days. This was taken in last year show. Basically, its just a lot of fun fun and fun. It is filled with different types of shows, competitions and rides. Some of the shows include, ‘flying pig’ (I’ll show the picture in my future entry), ‘dog show’, ‘horse in action’, ‘milking cow’, ‘animal nursery’….. more than just allowing children to have fun, it is also to educate today’s children who live in the city about farm animals. After cuddling the animals, one can go indoor to buy some show bags or have fun with all the rides and rollar coasters outdoor. Personally, I can never get on this ride, it makes my dizzy sick after.

One of my favorite picture. Saw this cute little boy having a wonderful time on the beach with his family in the evening.

Yes, Melbourne (not England) has a Brighton beach too.  Line with colorful huts along the whole beach, it is one of the most popular site for wedding shoot.  Australia is ONE GIGANTIC island. Hence, even though Melbourne has unpredictable weather and fierce wind, Melbournians still really love beaches. Winter is coming soon… that means the end of ‘beach life’ and more ‘heater heater heater’. Looking forward to my sunshine escape to Australia sunshine state in july!
